Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains when a ticket can be refunded, who decides, and how long it takes. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
If the organizer cancels
If an event is cancelled you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. Refunds are initiated automatically once the organizer marks the event cancelled, and are returned to your original payment method or your EventLex wallet.
If the event is rescheduled or materially changed
Your ticket normally remains valid for the new date. If the new date or a material change to the event does not work for you, you may request a refund up to the date shown in the notice you receive.
If you change your mind
Whether a change-of-mind refund is available is set by the organizer for each event, along with the deadline. The refund rules that apply are shown on the event page and on your ticket before you pay. Where the organizer has not enabled refunds, tickets are non-refundable except in the circumstances above.
Booking and service fees
Where an event is cancelled by the organizer, EventLex service fees are refunded along with the ticket price. For change-of-mind refunds, the service fee may be retained where this was disclosed at the time of purchase.
How to request one
Open your ticket from the Tickets area of your account and choose Request refund, or go to Account then Refunds to see every order that is eligible. You will be able to track the status of the request from the same place.
How long it takes
We aim to approve or decline requests within five business days. Once approved, funds sent to an EventLex wallet are available immediately. Refunds returned to a card or bank account are subject to your provider's own settlement time, usually five to ten business days.
Chargebacks
Please raise a refund request with us before contacting your bank. Chargebacks raised without first giving us a chance to resolve the issue may result in the associated ticket being voided.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other applicable Nigerian consumer law.
Your data, your control
You can download everything we hold about you, or permanently delete your account, at any time from your profile settings.
